Documentation

Welcome to Fchat

Fchat is a multi-tenant chat, livestream and creator platform you can deploy in minutes and resell to your own customers. This guide walks you from a fresh server to a production-ready installation.

Whether you bought Fchat to launch your own niche community or to operate a SaaS where each customer gets their own tenant, this documentation covers every step: from spinning up the Docker stack to wiring up your domain, payments and backups.

What you get out of the box

  • 1-on-1 and group chat with media uploads, reactions, read receipts and typing indicators.
  • Public channels and broadcast feeds with paid subscription plans.
  • Livestreaming powered by LiveKit, with viewer chat and recording.
  • Cam2cam video calls between users, with per-minute billing.
  • Multi-tenant architecture - each tenant gets an isolated database, storage bucket, branding and admin.
  • Built-in KYC via Yoti, ready to enable for adult / regulated use cases.
  • Referral system with configurable payout rules.
  • Super-admin panel to manage tenants, plans, branding, platform billing and showcase content.
  • Mobile-first responsive UI + installable PWA with push notifications.
  • 15+ language translations with a built-in editor.

Who this is for

Fchat is designed for two audiences:

  • Solo operators who want to run their own chat / creator platform on a single domain.
  • SaaS resellers who want to sell isolated tenant accounts to their own customers, each at tenant.your-domain.com.
